Changelog

v0.10.7

What changed in each Leaven release, newest first.

v0.10.7 (2026-10-31)

  • The Guide page now lives at https://leaven.akeller.dev, with a page for each topic and search across the whole site. A release updates it, so it always shows the newest version.

v0.10.6 (2026-10-31)

  • Backups no longer overwrite each other: when a backup of the same name exists, the new one gets -2, -3, and so on.
  • An empty ~/.claude/settings.json now gets the status line instead of being reported as set.
  • When the installer tells you to rerun it, the command it gives keeps the parts you chose.

v0.10.5 (2026-10-31)

  • Added this changelog; each release's notes now open with what changed.
  • Corrected the guides on what an install replaces and backs up, when it asks for your password, and what to do when it stops; the troubleshooting sections cover the terminal parts did not finish and Still to do:.
  • The installer recording in the docs no longer shows a version number.

v0.10.4 (2026-10-31)

  • Skills, hooks, agents, rules, and standards you edited are backed up to ~/.config/leaven/backup-<stamp>/ before the installer replaces or removes them.

v0.10.3 (2026-10-31)

  • The installer asks for your sudo password up front, and says why when it fails.
  • Node and poppler install quietly when job search is chosen.
  • settings.json and CLAUDE.md are backed up only when the installer changes them.

v0.10.2 (2026-10-31)

  • The docs and the guide page show the pack version.
  • A symlinked settings.json stays a link when the status line part sets its setting.

v0.10.1 (2026-10-31)

  • The guide page has tabs and matches the installer's look; its engineers link points at GitHub.
  • The README and every doc open with the animated Leaven wordmark.
  • The engineers guide has a quick start, and its instructions are corrected.
  • The setup guides clone the newest release, and install.sh says when it runs off one.
  • Fixed the GitHub login for apt's gh; Claude pushes only a folder that has a remote.

v0.10.0 (2026-10-30)

  • Plain ./install.sh in a terminal opens the installer screens, with a checklist of parts.
  • install.sh takes --preset and --parts and saves your choices; extras/install.sh --parts installs any of the six terminal parts.
  • ./install.sh --update moves to the newest release with the parts you already have, and offers new parts on the checklist.
  • Node and poppler install when job search is chosen and they are missing.
  • The engineering workflow is an optional part, ticked for the builder and engineer presets.
  • The guides, README, and guide page document the checklist, its flags, and updating.

v0.9.0 (2026-10-30)

  • The pack is named Leaven.
  • install.sh runs on macOS and Linux, and extras/install.sh on macOS through Homebrew and on Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora, and Arch.
  • The installer no longer changes what the pack does not own; ~/memory is checked before any write, and each missing git identity field is set on its own.
  • The job-search workspace is opt-in with install.sh --job-search.
  • The tracker page ships in the pack, and existing workspaces are kept updated.
  • The setup guide is split into Windows, Mac, and engineers guides, with a generated guide page and a platform picker; the zip is gone.
